A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the New York City area from Sunday night through early Tuesday morning. New York City has also instituted restrictions on non-essential travel, effective at 6 AM, Monday, February 1.
Weill Cornell Medicine will only operate essential functions and services on-site on Tuesday, February 2. Only employees who have been instructed by their managers to report on-site are expected to come in. Healthcare workers are exempt from NYC travel restrictions, so any employee asked to report on-site should carry their WCM ID while commuting. All other employees should remain home and work remotely, if possible.
Below are transit status updates for major providers in the NYC region as of 5:30 PM Monday, February 1. Please visit the transit provider websites linked below for the latest updates:
- NYC Subway outdoor stations closed at 2 PM. Please visit https://new.mta.info to see the underground-only service.
- NYC Transit Buses are operating on a reduced schedule and are experiencing delays throughout the city.
- Metro-North suspended inbound service starting at 2 PM, and outbound service starting at 3 PM.
- NJ Transit suspended rail service for February 1.
- PATH rail service was suspended system-wide starting at 3 PM. For more information, visit www.panynj.gov/path.
- Bus service in and out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal was suspended for February 1. Please check with your carrier for specific information and resumption of service.
- SeaStreak Ferries canceled all services for February 1.
