Winter Storm Update

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the New York City area from Sunday night through early Tuesday morning. Weill Cornell Medicine will continue on-site clinical and essential operations on Monday, February 1.

Managers have been asked to notify employees scheduled to work on-site whether they are required on-site for Monday operations.

  • If you are scheduled to work on-site and have not yet heard from your manager, please contact them.
  • Employees working on-site should check with their transportation providers regarding the latest service status for their Monday morning/evening commutes and take any needed precautions to ensure they can travel safely.
Below are transit status updates for major providers in the NYC region for Monday, February 1 (as of 6 PM Sunday, January 31):
  • NYC Subway will operate on a weekend schedule. Express and above-ground service may be affected due to snowfall.
  • NYC Transit Buses will operate on a reduced schedule.
  • Metro-North will suspend late night service. To view final train departures at individual stations, visit http://mta.info.
  • NJ Transit rail service will be suspended for the entire service day.
  • Bus service in and out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal will be suspended for the entire service day. Please check with your carrier for specific information and resumption of service.
  • SeaStreak Ferries will cancel all service.
